I was skeptical at first, but the flat surface pressed my burger patties down perfectly, giving them that restaurant-style crust. The metal handle stayed cool enough to grip without a mitt, which was a nice surprise.
The heavy cast iron really locks in the heat; my burgers got that perfect crust without flipping a bunch of times. Cleanup was quick with just a paper towel, too.
