Home Chef Set 25-Piece Kit: What Each Piece Is For

Quick answer

The Home Chef Set (25 piece) is a bundled collection of non-toxic ceramic cookware, bakeware, and kitchen tools from Our Place. It’s designed to cover most everyday cooking tasks—sautéing, boiling, baking, and serving—without buying each piece separately. If you want one box that handles weeknight meals and weekend baking, this set is a practical starting point.

What comes in the Home Chef Set?

The set includes 25 pieces total, spanning three categories: cookware (pots and pans), bakeware (sheets and dishes), and tools (utensils and prep items). Our Place lists the full contents on the product page, and the exact mix is fixed—you can’t swap pieces for other items. The bundle is available in several color options, including Chrome/Char, Chrome/Blue Salt, Chrome/Steam, Gold/Blue Salt, Gold/Char, and Gold/Steam.

Which pieces are for stovetop cooking?

The cookware pieces are made with non-toxic ceramic coating and are intended for everyday stovetop tasks like boiling pasta, simmering sauces, sautéing vegetables, and searing proteins. Because the set is ceramic-based rather than raw cast iron or carbon steel, it’s not designed for high-heat searing or broiler use. For those techniques, you’d want a dedicated high-heat pan. The cookware is also not specified as induction-compatible in the catalog facts, so if you have an induction cooktop, check the product page or contact Our Place before buying.

What are the bakeware pieces for?

The bakeware items are meant for oven use—think sheet-pan dinners, roasted vegetables, and simple cakes or cookies. They share the same non-toxic ceramic finish as the cookware, so they’re a good match if you want to avoid PTFE and PFOA coatings across your kitchen. The set does not include specialty bakeware like a springform pan or a muffin tin, so if you bake often, you may still need to add one or two pieces. Always follow the manufacturer’s temperature limits, which are listed with the set.

What tools are included?

The tool pieces are basic prep and serving items—typically utensils that won’t scratch the ceramic coating. They’re not a full knife set or a complete utensil drawer, but they cover the essentials for stirring, flipping, and serving. If you already own a well-stocked utensil crock, you may find some overlap; if you’re starting from scratch, these tools let you cook immediately without a separate shopping trip.

Is the Home Chef Set a good value?

At $816.87 (compared to a $1,119.00 list price), the set costs less than buying the pieces individually. The value depends on whether you’ll use all 25 pieces. If you only need a skillet and a saucepan, a smaller set or open-stock pieces will be cheaper. If you’re equipping a first kitchen or replacing mismatched cookware, the bundle covers a lot of ground in one purchase. The set is available in multiple colorways, so you can match your kitchen’s look.

How should I care for the pieces?

Hand washing is recommended for the cookware and bakeware to preserve the ceramic coating, though some pieces may be dishwasher-safe—check the care card that comes with the set. Avoid metal utensils and abrasive cleaners. For the tools, warm soapy water is usually enough. Storing pans with a felt protector or paper towel between them prevents scratches. If you also use a Home Cook Apron, keep it away from open flames and wash it according to the label to maintain its color and fit.

Home Chef Set FAQs

Do I need to season the pans?

No. The Home Chef Set uses a non-toxic ceramic coating, which does not require seasoning like cast iron or carbon steel. Wash with mild soap and it’s ready to use. Skip the seasoning step; just wash before first use.

Can I use metal utensils on the cookware?

It’s best to avoid metal utensils, which can scratch the ceramic coating. Use silicone, wood, or the tools included in the set. Keep metal spatulas and whisks out of these pans.

Is the set dishwasher-safe?

The catalog facts do not specify dishwasher safety for every piece. Hand washing is the safest way to protect the ceramic finish. Check the care guide that comes with your set for specific pieces. When in doubt, hand wash to extend the life of the coating.

Can I buy individual pieces separately?

Our Place sells open-stock items, but the 25-piece set is a fixed bundle. If you only need one or two pieces, buying them individually may be more economical. Compare the set price against the pieces you’ll actually use.

Is this set good for a small kitchen?

The set includes 25 pieces, which requires storage space. If you have limited cabinet room, consider a smaller set or open-stock pieces. The Home Chef Set is best for cooks who want a full kit in one purchase. Measure your storage before committing to a 25-piece set.
